Mugneret Gibourg, Vosne-Romanee La Colombiere Size:3x750ml (No 2006 to taste as(from a . 86 ha parcel of ~80 year old vines). Here the wonderfully fresh and pure nose of plum and black raspberry displays plenty of spice nuances, in particular star anise and sandalwood, along with a hint of crushed fennel. The medium bodied flavors are not quite as concentrated as those of the straight Vosne villages, though they are notably finer on the lingering, balanced and energetic finale.
